After 9 incredible years of transforming walls into works of art, we’re officially closing the chapter on Vancouver Mural Festival (VMF). It’s been an unforgettable journey, and none of it would have been possible without YOU – our community of artists, volunteers, partners, and mural enthusiasts.
This decision was not made lightly. Like many arts and non-profit organizations, we have faced growing financial challenges in the past years. Despite our best efforts and significant progress to stabilize the organization, it is no longer viable for us to continue.
Together, we’ve brought colour, culture, and conversation to the streets of Vancouver. We’ve celebrated creativity, uplifted diverse voices, and shown the world the power of public art. VMF wasn’t just a festival; it was a movement – one fueled by connection, collaboration, and an unshakable love for this city.
While VMF may be coming to an end, the impact of its murals, festivals, and programs will continue to inspire Vancouver’s cultural landscape for years to come. These works of art stand as a testament to what is possible when creativity, collaboration, and community come together.

VMF Mural Tours
Official VMF 2024 tours presented by Herschel Supply Company, will be offered across the city! The tours take you to several neighbourhood murals, highlighting the meaning of each artwork and sharing behind-the-scenes stories of how they were made.

Mount Pleasant Street Party
The festival's epicentre features a main stage with DJs, dance and exciting live music for an all day dance party everyday! Find our Hawkers Bar in this zone with a diverse selection of local beverages; stroll by live painting activations and local vendors.

VMF After Dark
VMF After Dark brings two nights of art, music and dancing at The Bunker, partnering with QTBIPOC-led electronic party series Drill Events and Vancouver’s most influential independent record labels, Monstercat. Tickets for both After Dark events are available on Eventbrite.
